Psoriasis is a disease of the skin in which you develop itchy, reddish, scaly rashes on your body. It may affect just the scalp, or just the palms and soles, or may involve other body areas as well.

Why does it occur?

Psoriasis occurs due to an increase in the cell turnover, and an increase in certain inflammatory markers in the body.

Can it be treated?

Absolutely. Psoriasis is a long term disease, so it tends to recur at time of stress, or during certain times of the year like in the winter. However with proper lifestyle modifications and medicines it can be treated and kept under control.
